Today, i didn’t have a ton of time to produce, however I believe in quality over quantity, and I am glad I was able to take some time during the evening to get some work done.

I really recommend watching the One Love movie! As a producer, I love being inspired by artists stories and the journey they go through. Bob’s journey with the freedom movement was very inspiring to me, and I love seeing how the lyrics reflected Bob’s emotions.

Before starting writing with LJ, I wanted to reflect on what freedom means to me. I think this was a great exercise, and I definitely think everyone should try to define this for themselves!

To me, freedom is the ability to make choices and not being restricted by a particular set of parameters. One of the reasons I chose to be a music producer is so I could work remotely, and set my own hours.

As LJ and I were brainstorming the lyrics for an idea he had called “Take Me Back”, I had this element of freedom on my mind. I asked where he would like to go back to, and he also had this idea of a life of freedom on his mind! In a world of endless distraction, it is important to be taken back to a place of focus and pursuing your purpose.

After a good hour, we finally settled on some lyrics we were happy with! I am looking forward to writing the rest of this song with LJ in the next week or so.
